Sorry I'm late to the party! This was a fascinating introduction. I find my dreams to be concrete and factual even when they don't make logical sense. My memories of pain and failure, even though most aren't consequential are my downfall. Isn't it funny that things that I think were pivotal other folks have no memory of them at all? That fact has finally broken through to me and released me from guilt and or embarrassment. I'm reading Inner Excellence by Jim Murphy at the moment, and it really has opened my eyes. My mind needs training for extraordinary performance even though its 66 years old!

Thanks for your thoughtful response, John! Yes, I have learned that memory is as unique to the individual as our experiences and perspectives are. Inner Excellence sounds like something we could all strive for! Even and especially for those of us in our 60s!!!

It's the beginning of a long and beautiful friendship. I think that that is sort of what Rick said to the policeman in Casablanca.
